Basic Supplies for HQH Workshops

Joan Derylak Workshops - Figure Flattering Quiltwear

September 17 & 18, 2010

Sign-ups for the September workshops with Joan Derylak of "Figure Flattering Quiltwear" will begin at the July meeting. The September 17th workshop is the "Batik Blues" jacket and September 18th is "Black and White" jacket. I will have both of these jackets at the July meeting so that you can see them!

A jacket fitting session included with each workshop will be held on September 16th before the HQH meeting. When you sign-up for the workshop, you can select your fitting time between 2 and 5 pm.

Registration fee is $35 per class and only open to members this month. In addition Joan's patterns ($18 each) will be available for purchase at each workshop. Joan also sells the micro-fleece used in her jackets and I will have samples at the July meeting. Check out Joan's designs at www.FigureFlatteringQuiltwear.com.

The location for workshops is Trinity United Methodist Church on Airport Road. (see map). Room 269 is on the 2nd floor, just west of the Narthex -- (see floorplan).

Workshops usually run from 9:30 am - 4:30 pm with an hour for lunch. We place our orders to Steak Out in the morning and put our lunch money (and tip) in envelopes with our order and name.
Workshop Policies
  1. The cost for each class is $35.00 for the 2009-2010 year for active guild members.
  2. Payment is required to reserve your spot in any class.
  3. Class registration is open to Guild members first, at the meeting two months prior to the workshops. At the meeting one month prior to the workshops, registration is opened to non-guild members who would like to attend. The cost of non-guild member’s workshop fees is set by the HQH Board at the beginning of the guild year. For 2009-2010, this cost is $45.00.
  4. Most instructors provide a supply list but in addition you may need to refer to Basic Supplies for HQH Workshops
It is HQH policy that paid reservations made for fee-based activities (workshops, retreat, bus trips, etc.) will be refunded if an cancellation is made 30 days or more before an event. Cancellations made within 30 days of an event will result in no refund unless (1) there is a waiting list or (2) someone is found to take the spot, (in that order).
