Basic Supplies for HQH Workshops
Well it’s almost here — Lisa Binkley will be here in February to “Bead” you through her class. Lisa and her artwork have been featured on local and national television, in internationally-distributed books and magazines, and in many local publications. Her art is represented in private and corporate collections. Lisa enjoys sharing her passion for fiber and beads through her artwork, classes, and lectures. She lives in Waunakee, Wisconsin with her husband, their two children, and their 90 lb. German Shepherd-Alaskan Malamute mix dog.

Dale Rhoades will be teaching us how to make the Gingerbread House.
We still have two slots available so if you are
interested the class is $15.00 and the kit will be
approximately $50.00.
The Gingerbread class will be at
Faith Presbyterian (where our meetings are held),
upstairs on the second floor. More details to come.
The kit will include fabric, batting and muslin backing for the house and some fabrics for "candy" and "cookies". It will NOT include commercial "Christmas Candy" or "Christmas Cookies" buttons. These items you can shop for now during the Christmas season that will not be available in March. Look for buttons, miniature cookie cutters, fabric printed with candies or cookies that can be appliquéd or anything realistic. You might also look for miniature Christmas ornaments or decorations that would be appropriate for your house. The lifesaver groundwork is included in the kit.
Starting in February, I will be taking reservations for Paula Nadelstern. Kaleidoscope -- the very word promises surprise and magic, change and chance. Exploding with visual excitement, a kaleidoscopic design organizes an abundance of light and color, form and motion into a complex and coherent image. Her goal is to harmoniously integrate the idea of a kaleidoscope with the techniques and materials of quilt making. She tries to free herself from a conventional sense of fabric orderliness, seeking a random quality in order to imitate the succession of chance interlinkings and endless possibilities synonymous with kaleidoscopes. Taking this class will definitely bring surprise to each person's quilt. Come challenge yourself.
